THE L.A. ORIGINAL SINCE 1984
I pioneered graffiti in Los Angeles with a crew named "L. A. Bomb Squad" way back in 1984, where we first painted designs in the infamous Belmont Tunnel.
Featured in " The History of Los Angeles Graffiti Art" book. As part of the history, the Getty Museum invited me, among other urban artist, to draw a masterpiece for the "Liber Abicorum"
The whole world is my medium. Painting a picture isn't that much different from humming a song, or building a bridge.
I've worked with aerosol paint, bronze, wood, light & shadow, ink, watercolor, marker, pencil, chalk dust. I don't limit myself.
I tell a story with every one of my pieces. Stories of youth, of harmony, joy and pain. There's a true dichotomy and contradiction between
the bold colors I use and the stories behind them.
When the student is ready the teacher will appear.
Thanks for your help. -Shan
